USB disabling / third party usb cable

Hi all, I'm getting a recurrent issue with my usb stopping working until the car is next started. When this happens I get the icon below:
Automotive lighting Hood Grille Automotive design Automotive exterior

I think it may be down to the car objecting to the cable I'm using and shutting down (stops syncing and charging). Maybe if I use an Apple it'll fix the issue.. my dealer said last week it was my cable causing the problem. Has anyone else had this?

Thanks

I believe the G indication is for the received signal for your user provided SIM, I.e. it shows 3G or 4G mobile network connection, or in the picture - lack of mobile network connection.

That is correct

That symbol is for the sim data speed, so is likely just a coincidence and unrelated to your phone issue. Definitely test out an official Apple cable and see if it helps. If it's not that, then perhaps something that helps regulate the phone usb connection and mobile sim data connection is malfunctioning.

Are you using an official Apple Cable? There were issues reported with aftermarket cables.
I was using third party cables.. that was kind of my question. Thanks!

When using USB lightning cables I check that they are Apple Certified. I am currently using a cable from Amazon that is not made by Apple but Apple Certified i.e. it meets the Apple specifications and has been submitted to Apple for testing and approved.
