Hello. I've just taken delivery of my Velar S, first time I've had a Range Rover. I've always loved the Sport but it has been outside of my price range so when LR released the Velar just ahead of when I was due to change my company car, I opted out and went private - took delivery on 22nd December so a great Christmas present.

I love the car, its drivability, its comfort, its looks, its interior. The electrics are what I expected after hearing (and reading) reviews, and my boss has an F-Pace and I know the issues he has had. So far so not too bad, but I do have a couple of specific questions that I hope members might be able to help me with please.

1. Sat Nav, specifically re-routing with Real Time Traffic Info. I had a BMW before which was great at offering up diversions around traffic. Whilst I like the lay out of the sat nav, I can't figure out how the system offers up diversions mid journey. I can see the route options at the start of the journey, but can anyone please tell me how I get re-routed when traffic changes, as I often travel on the M40 and M25, where the congestion is very changeable, and as yet the car hasn't offered me up any diversions like the BMW would have. Any help will be much appreciated as I really miss (and need) this.

2. Spotify via In Control Apps. I've got this sorted in terms of listening to music, but accessing the menu of my music (playlists, albums etc) is very hit and miss, more miss than hit. Is there a certain set up or something specific I need to do to be able to chose from my music, as at the moment I am usually limited to my recently played stuff?

That's for reading - I'll be an avid user of this site to understand all the parts of my Velar I'm not using yet!

Hello and welcome. I just saw this, and while I can't answer your questions, I figured I'd give your post a bump since it went unnoticed. I've just assumed the nav was rerouting silently determining the best route, but I will make an effort to play with it more and find out. So far it's been pretty accurate in regards to arrival time, inclusive of traffic.

I rarely use Spotify as I like Apple Music, but I do have both. I attempted to use the built in Spotify app once without much luck, but I attributed that to the crappy, unreliable USB connection more than the app itself. I use bluetooth exclusively now to avoid problems.

Hi thanks for the response, it's appreciated. I think I have got somewhere with the Spotify menu. Bizarrely if you press the screen "around" the My Music menu rather than "right on it" it seems to work better and I've managed to get the screen I want a few times doing it this.
Regarding the sat nav, I've taken the car into my local dealer who are suggesting it needs a software update. I've seen this mentioned on these forums so I'll give it a go and see where it takes me. Cheers!

Yeah, I need the software update also. Some have already received it, others are still waiting; but it sounds like it addresses many of the main issues!

And that is strange regarding the Spotify menu! I'll have to give it another try.
