Can you put my mind at ease... please?

Hi guys,

I have a build date of week commencing 11th March. I have been told to expect my car towards the end of March, most likely week commencing 25th.

Reading this forum, and most of the time, there is a much bigger gap between build and delivery. My dealer has been great thus far (Rybrook in Huddersfield), so I am inclined to believe him, but I just wanted to check what people thought - is this reasonable or not?

thanks,

Chris.

My build date was week ending 7th December 2018 and my car was actually built on the 3rd. I was due to collect the 15th but like others my collection had to be postponed (car was at the dealers and ready for collection) as JLR had messed up notifying the DVLA about the new model MY type (MY19.5) so it couldn't be registered, a number of people were caught up in this and we had to wait a couple of days while the issue was resolved.

Answering from a different direction.....

I bought my car from Rybrook Huddersfield and found them straight and good to deal with but better than that they are proving very good at living with problems on the car. I live within a mile of Farnell Guiseley and have to pass Farnell Bradford but would not go near them again. Have found their Service Manager Mark Holmes and Tony Carr, their Customer Experience Manager very supportive.

I live near Rybrook Huddersfield but I'm on the Strastone Deal but I called in and explained and they confirmed that the deal was untouchable. They also spent a good 45 minutes explaining the options on the Velar etc so great communications and I will definitely be using them for my service and if the forums correct my inevitable warranty work, apologies for being negative.
