I've sent it to the dealership, and I think I will whine until they decide to make an update since the whole "we say one thing on the website, but doesn't apply to your 120k car" drives me nuts. That and the brakes, but I will find away to change the latter.liben96 said:Interesting.
Does this apply to those who dont have inControl, Wifi, etc?
There are many in this situation... and we could have Apple Car because of this...
But now that inControl is going to disappear, it is a different story.
Thanks
Did you get it?mapearce said:I took my car in for 19B specifically for the free ACP & AA
Are you in Stockholm? Which dealership did you go to (I want to do the same)?mapearce said:Absolutely. They've discontinued InControl support so they've made AA & ACP free with 19B. I don't have a SIM or WiFi with my car, that's why I just booked it in for a software update. Told them I wanted the 19B specifically for ACP and they didn't complain.
Funny, because a few months ago, they were asking 3000kr (£250'ish) for the Smartphone pack.

Hoping they can do it OTA though.
Yes, I have both, however, I have asked them to enable SOTA before (which they confirmed) but I don't receive any updates.liben96 said:Do you have wifi and sim slot in your card? If not, I dont think you will be able to get it via OTA. I have the same issue.
In settings on the main touch screen go to Connectivity (I think I'm on a train so cant look) and scroll to bottom for Apple device settings. You can choose the default behaviour and select ACP.Tofts8 said:I checked last night and the new update and downloaded and ACP has been installed.. I plugged in my iPhone and its not connecting, it still directs me to the old app screen. any suggestions.
thanks
Sure am, I went to British Motor Group South in Segeltorp. Ask for Ferhat, he makes such a huge effort to ensure you're happy.Larjon77 said:Are you in Stockholm? I have replied to this question so many times on this forum…..Tofts8 said:Does anyone else get the disconnect from usb notice when trying to load apple car play.
I will do that, since I have quite the opposite experience from BMG in Danderyd.mapearce said:Sure am, I went to British Motor Group South in Segeltorp. If you call USB security an issue then yes you are correct. It's a safety feature. Not an 'issue'RichWilkie said:I have replied to this question so many times on this forum…..Tofts8 said:Does anyone else get the disconnect from usb notice when trying to load apple car play.
This is an Apple issue, there is a feature from IOS12 onwards called RESTRICTED USB, Google it and it will resolve your issue
Scroll over until you see the Land River icon/button. That'll do it!VelarD said:My car was updated with CarPlay yesterday and it's great. Looks lovely on the screen.
Slight issue, how do you exit it to get back to the standard home screen? 🙃
Aah ok, thought that was related to the LR apps only. Thanks!P380NarvikEclipse said:Scroll over until you see the Land River icon/button. That'll do it!VelarD said:My car was updated with CarPlay yesterday and it's great. Looks lovely on the screen.
