Sorry formatting isn't the best!
Not surprised that the trim levels fit a standard bell curve distribution. The SE was going to be the sweet spot.
Not surprised bulk of the sales are still Diesels. Big heavy SUVs and the amazing torque, refinement and fuel economy on the D300 engine make it irresistible.
Interesting that the biggest sellers are still higher up the engine range - the V6 diesels and petrols. The D180 is an acquired taste at best.
Surprised that only 179 of 500 First Editions sold. But this is UK only
I see an awful lot of D300 HSE Velars in Corris Grey around me - a dozen in my town at least - All in R Dynamic trim so not much to tell them apart from my First Edition.
Wonder what the colour distribution is.
Well the only white space it has filled is CONQUEST sales. Like me never owned a JLR product and would not be seen dead in an RR - too boxy, too Big, too dynamically compromised, too plonky.
Same - evoque too small, disco sport too family, disco too big, sport too big and brash, FRR seriously a bridge too far and besides, none of the rest have enough subliminal union flags. Always wanted a LR, never the right one on sale til now.
Interesting, the P300 is offered in UK. Surprised that JLR haven't registered at least one. The dataset I have is for all UK car registrations & I can't see a P300 in it, my guess is that P300 registrations have some how been omitted. Perhaps a UK P300 owner can confirm they do exist here?
Hi all,
I thought the omission of the P300 was odd, so have dug deeper. The original figures were from a website, the figures below are direct from gov.uk.
The P300 does now feature (39 sales) & these figure are to the end of 2017. I think the last set were actually to end Q3 2017. 83 Velars we registered in Q2, presumably these were mostly the launch fleet, and they did not include any P300 models.
