Re: Phase 5 update now available

The testing phase is via dealer but limited to JLR management cars and dealer cars. If stable, I was offered this via dealer as it is a full firmware update I was told.

Re: Any interesting aftermarket accessories?

I am quite keen on this A wireless charging mat for the console area behind the lower screen https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Car-Wireless-Charger-for-Range-Rover-Velar-wireless-charging-standard-WPC-Qi-1-2/32948590840.html I have the wireless charger in the cupholder but it does not fit any phone be...

Re: Leisure Activity Key - Receiver

Thanks - that clarified it - so the LR emblem is just an emblem and the actual receiver emblem is behind the panel.
I use the leisure activity key often - great little feature

Last Phase 5 update on 13 June

The last Phase 5 update 19B will be out on 13 June to key UK dealers for testing. I would not recommend rushing out and getting it installed until they have had some time to test it on management and dealer cars. This was meant to be out in last week of May but has been delayed. I for one elected t...

Leisure Activity Key - Receiver

Hello I have the Leisure Activity Key on the Velar First Edition. To operate it, you touch the wristband on the Land Rover badge on the rear of the car. My question is: Is the LR badge on the rear boot itself the receiver or is there an actual receiver behind the badge in the bodywork cavity? Meanin...

Re: Phase 5 update now available

This is very helpful discussion. It seems to me that the 18C version is the last stable version (that does not create more problems than it was meant to solve, and truly add useful functionality). There are issues with 18D, 19A, 19A2 (different build date of 19A) and so, aside from the excitement to...

Re: heated seats

I have had heated seats on all my cars for years and can't say the Velar's ones are any better or worse than the others. Both my other cars have relatively snug sport seats - that makes a difference as you feel the heat closer to your back than the relatively flat seat squab (bottom part - not the s...

Re: Four Dot License Plates

Hello I have got fourdot plates on two cars currently - they are completely legal and I have had no problems from police etc. They are in the right font, right size, right separation between letters and from the borders etc. It is expensive partly because of quality, finish and uniqueness (but you c...

Re: Wheel arch gap

I have a 22" wheel (but with air suspension) and the wheel arch gap does not look bad when in normal or low setting. It is proportionate. But it does seem like there are a lot of people driving around Velars on the elevated suspension setting that is most raised (meant to be used off road only) whic...
