Re: Excited but worried

Over the past 25 years I've owned: 5 new Audis (1x A4, 1 x A5, 3 x A7 - only the A5 3.0TDI gave me serious issues with a skewed roller causing the alternator belt to fray and destroy part of the wiring loom causing a failure of the catalytic converter), the others had minor quibbles such as electron...

Re: Paddle Shifters

Press the menu button on the left hand side of the steering wheel. Go to vehicle settings, there should be a point there called paddle shifters. There you can select either only in S or in S & D. I have a normal SE, no R Dynamic, and the paddle shifters work....

Re: Rare Velar Sightings

I was pleasantly pleased to be the only Velar driving around my neck of the woods until yesterday, driving down the street I saw a white Velar coming towards me. I must say, seeing it coming towards me made me realise what a truly beautiful and imposing vehicle it is.....

Re: hit or miss components? Heated/cooled seats, cameras, ambient lighting, off road pkg, blind spot features, etc...

Ok, I'm confused with the blind spot thing. One 2018 SE R says it has: DRIVE PRO PACKAGE, and includes ALL of what's listed below: Driver condition Monitor - WHAT IS THIS? Traffic Sign Recognition & adaptive speed limiter - WHAT IS THIS? Adaptive cruise Control with Queue assist & intelligent Emerg...

Re: Apple Car Play - pros/cons

Yep, that’s correct and definitely does look nice. With that said, it doesn’t change the fact that the built-in traffic rerouting and directions in general aren’t as efficient as Waze or Google Maps, which is IMO the biggest “pro” to having ACP. Nothing drives me crazier than wasting time because m...

Re: D300hse r dynamic fuel 30mpg

The key here is average speed in my experience. A high average speed indicates light traffic with no singificant stop starts. Lower speed driving or even a mix of higher speeds plus traffic really hits the mpg. Fuel consumption overcoming inertia is significant. Once up to speed ie up to say 7 mph ...

Re: D300hse r dynamic fuel 30mpg

I've done just over 1000km and my mileage varies from 36 to 45 mpg according to the journeys on the Remote App. The first refill after 550km was showing 39mpg so I'm happy with that. I'm also happy with the power of the D180, more than adequate.

Collected today

Some might recall I cancelled my order because the delivery was delayed more than 6 weeks; although the system said that the build date was 'November 23rd' with expected delivery mid December, only 3 days after cancelling the order, the car turned up. So, we renegotiated the deal and today I collect...
