I was already on 19b with SOTA enabled (have already had a SOTA update done at home from 19A to 19B) and had an email from JLR yesterday saying (further) updates were available, however, when I went to check, I seem to have lost the ability to perform updates on the car.... instead of the screen sho...

This is an Apple issue, there is a feature from IOS12 onwards called RESTRICTED USB, Google it and it will resolve your issue

The JLR Remote App already offers the ability to remotely lock and unlock the Velar. It also allows you to remotely start the Velar for remote climate control, so why would you want to use a third party option? Paddles can be set via the menu to work in all modes. If you hold down the right hand paddle for a few seconds, the gearbox reverts to automatic (D)
