Re: Velar remote start

Mine is still the pop-up style. Did you open the boot before you got in the car, by any chance. I have noticed previously that while the remote start is running, if I open the boot to load something, the engine turned off straight away. This didn't not happen with opening any other door. I assumed ...

Re: Wireless Apple CarPlay

I've received my CPLAY2AIR dongle and cannot get it to work. Apart from the instructions which make no sense, I think the issue is still the one way bluetooth pairing on the Velar which prevents it from working. Having said that, the device didn't appear in my iPhone bluetooth list either, nor did ...

Re: Wireless Apple CarPlay

CPLAY2AIR is now officially compatible with 2019 and 2020 Land Rovers. I have just ordered and will report back! Not sure what they changed but they clearly state compatibility. I just hope it is not dependent on Pivi! (though if it were I would have expected them to list specific models, not just ...

Re: Number Plate Positioning

I thought it was the dealerships that decided on the positioning? When mine got delivered into the dealer I specifically asked them not to have it too high and to have it on the crease. Above the crease looks terrible.

Re: Pivi Pro software

More under the hood changes than I was expecting beyond just the infotainment. Pivi pro unlocked a lot of capabilities. I’m still not a big fan of the new steering wheel button design nor the new shifter (that one seems a cost saving measure), but there’s some enticing enhancements that continue to...

Re: P400 MHEV or D300 MHEV?? Hmmm.....

If you went with the D300 you'll always wonder about the P400. If you went for the P400 I don't think you'll ever think about the D300.

Forget your head, go with your hp400rt.

Re: Few Questions on Potential Purchase

The digital instrument cluster is one of the things which (for me anyway) makes the interior a special place to be. Unless you're getting a stonking deal, I would suggest this is a game changer.

I am not aware that you can retrofit roof rails on a Velar.
This is a factory fit option
Dealers won't retrofit them, but you can do it yourself or get other garages to do it. A few have been done on here.

Re: Spotify Connect

No worries. I also used to use online media in my previous BMW and you're right the interface was much better, but at least it's something now. You are right in there are not many car settings which can be changed outside of the car. The connected apps and the route planning are the only ones I can ...
