Re: Illuminated Sill Plates Retrofit

Yep I installed these. Relatively easy to install, just some gentle strength to remove the old ones. Should really be standard.

Re: Crackling audio

Likewise have not had the crackling audio for almost 2 months. Critically on every start up i let all systems start up before I set off - nav, media and phone.

Re: LOADSPACE TREADPLATE FINISHER Velar

Part No is VPLYS0456. Got this for £150 - retail price is £368. Marshall Lincoln though I think this was an old stock intel they were trying to get rid of. I’ll get some pics.

Re: LOADSPACE TREADPLATE FINISHER Velar

I also replaced mine with the illuminated one and was very easy indeed. Hardest bit was getting the spare tyre out and popping out the original treadplates but it is plug and play and so easy to install. Got a great price on eBay via LR dealer. Makes opening the boot more dramatic. Sad but true!

Re: Washer-Jets Alignment

Great top tip. We’re they easy to install? Also where did you source them from, can’t find any of the heated ones available to ebay etc. Assume all velar will be heated.

Re: Hands up - This crackling/popping Audio

Just in a Jag E pace at the moment whilst the dealer re aligns my tailgate. You would never have guessed this but the E pace had the audio cracking too!!! I couldn't believe. Car has the basic sound system non meridian. Looks like a wider issue and not just impacting the velar.

Re: USB Ports in armrest

Had the same issue when using ACP in my previous Audi. Unfortunately this is not a JLR issue but one with your iPhone or IOS

Re: New appreciation for my Velar

Currently in a Jaguar E Pace and last week a pre facelift Evoque. Both feel significantly quicker off the mark but the Velar has a more serene interior. Though the evoque did have in some better materials in places versus the Velar!!!
