Re: Velar Rejection - usage charge!

@spokenhands

I hear ya, but

1. Already been through my contract front to back, no mention at all of 45p a mile or anything else regarding rejection

2. I’ve requested a document stating anything about the usage charge and how 45p a mile was ascertained and I’ve been told there is no such doc

Re: Velar Rejection - usage charge!

Thanks guys for the input Yeh, dealer has had nothing to do with this at all and like I said, I did initially go and sit down with the sales manager of Stratstone and he literally chinned me off with regards to any sort of deal on a replacement. I also informed the finance company and JLR of this fa...

Re: Velar Rejection - usage charge!

Dealers had nothing to do with it, this is the finance company that have had enough. Not interested in a replacement, I did initially have a word with Stratstone but after them telling me that they would replace it but not on the same deal and wanting a grand upfront for a replacement, I told them t...

Re: Velar Rejection - usage charge!

That’s the plan mate

Honestly don’t mind paying something for usage, I’m not unreasonable but deducting 3k I think is too much

Re: Velar Rejection - usage charge!

Cheers Craig

I’ve asked them to at least show me a document stating that they’re permitted to charge 45p a mile.

Car is just over a year old.

Re: Velar Rejection - usage charge!

Surely they should provide some sort of document (preferably something I’ve agreed to/signed) stating that they can do such a thing? I mean why stop at 45p a mile, why not a quid maybe? They can basically charge what they like? If excess mileage charge is documented at 14p a mile, where are they pul...

Velar Rejection - usage charge!

Hi all Ok, my Velar rejection is finally going through and I have been given an “offer” by Black Horse. However, this offer is subject to deductions (according to BH) of 3k due to “mileage charges” This isn’t excess miles, I’m well within my annual allowance. This is a charge for very single mile do...

Re: Smelly AC

Thanks all for the good advice and input, it’s what these boards are great for. I’m not sure what it is. Everything was fine before it went into the dealership a couple of months ago. AC is never used on recirculate, usually set at around 21 degrees. Smell seems stronger on start up and drove off, t...

Re: Smelly AC

@simonh

What do you think then mate?

Earlier suggestion was to run the AC on hot, which I’ve tried also.

Smell doesn’t last, usually the worst on start up and drive off, then it kinda ceases.
