Re: Biannual Service Cost

Mine isnt due yet but around £500-£600 is the norm from a main dealer which is a total rip-off for a service where the parts cost around £80. Would you invalidate the warranty if you take it to an independant? No as long as they used genuine LR parts and followed the stated LR servicing schedule. T...

Re: Dispute with dealer on front parking sensors

TOPiX used to give you a full list of the build for the car but now doesn't. Ripon should be able to use their TOPiX account and search by VIN and give you a print out of the list. Maybe worth a call to another dealer too if you want to keep Ripon out of the loop.

Re: Thinking of ending PCP

@cianelectric I miss it dearly, but not as much as my last D4. Sales seem to be very slow the last few months so right now I’m paying and not actually having access to it. Even more irksome. Unfortunately the pandemic hit us hard financially so selling is the only way. May end up using Motorway or s...

Re: Thinking of ending PCP

In a similar situation - car sits on drive all week since March and is only used for short runs a couple of times at the weekend. On a 48 month PCP too and the trade in value is more or less the settlement value right now so have decided to sell it via my local dealer who have it on their forecourt ...

Re: One thing

It’s no real issue using the levers on the row 2 seats to be honest. Hardly worth paying extra for boot operated releases.

Re: Long-term report: Velar in NW Scotland....

I found my D240 never lacking in pace when needed and a lively animal when in Dynamic and Sport mode selected. It’s certainly not as smooth as a V6 diesel nor sounding as nice. Yes it can be a bit revvy / vocal at times but never sounded rough or particularly unpleasant (but never as good as a V6 di...

Re: The ‘Live’ app question

Both the dealer and I failed to get the Ubiqi card to work. I ended up putting a Three 24gb/24 month card in and it’s worked faultlessly since. Only cost about £40. Ubigi should be able to send a new one... the dealer probs can sort for you or email them. Only reason is SOTA updates are data free w...

How do you reset a Velar to factory settings ?
In Settings there is a delete / remove user data option. Thats blows it all away.

Re: New Remote App Version

So.... Guardian mode sounds the same as the car alarm? Once armed, it should beep for pretty much everything that Guardian mode looks for. Only difference is I have to set it manually, and will get alerted on my phone. Other than that, how is that much different? The cars alarm will only trigger if...
