Re: Velar brakes

But this isn’t trivial surface rust (wether caused by water or salt), this is chronic premature disc corrosion and in some cases warped discs at 12k miles for which JLR should accept warranty claims for.

Re: Order Placed - No Badge Option Help

You could order as standard and remove what you don’t want yourself. Warm the badge/letter with hair dryer and floss off with fishing nylon.

InControl Secure - stolen vehicle tracking

My MY18 pre-existing subscription is ending and I'm wondering whether to re-new?
Very pricey (for me) and I don't expect insurance companies discount much if you have one?
My car is garaged overnight.
Any views? Thanks

Re: Long-term report July 2021: Velar in the Outer Hebrides....

Thanks for the update. You've got to the place where we should all be with our cars. I'm 8 weeks into owning a flaky Velar from an incompetent LR Dealership, who eventually sorted things, so we've persevered and now have an outstanding car with no known issues. I'm also off to Cumbria in a few weeks...

Re: It’s OK?

If there is no obvious leak, performance ok and the temp gauge is at normal then LR will tell you it is very normal and top up as required. And my p300 was delivered needing a top up. However with all my 2l petrol cars over the last 30 years I’m sure I have never topped up once. So from that experie...

Re: Hello From Northumberland: D300 RDynamic HSE

.......surely this should have been checked with their claimed ‘rigorous 165 point check’..... It is an imaginary process, it simply doesn’t happen! During a full service and ‘rigorous 165 point check’‘ you think they would top the coolent up (ITS VERY BRIGHT PINK AND HAS MIN/MAX on the reservoir) ...

Re: Catastrophic engine failure - 29k miles D300 HSE

Jumpjim good grief and so sorry to hear. Hope JLR do the right thing (save you going public and legal). Nobody wants to see JLR go under but if they keep putting shit cars on the road, customers will take their misplaced loyalty elsewhere. I expect you’ve got a long haul ahead, keep us posted and be...

Re: Rusty steering rack column

It’s a feature, but why JLR think it’s ok to use crap components (cosmetic or not) in a £75k car is beyond me, it just leaves a bad taste.

Re: Rear Number Plate Size - Standard or Oversized?

Majority of cars have a fresh plate printed with that dealers details and most are standard width front and rear and standard height front and oversized height rear. I hope to get a private plate and expect to go minimal size and no dealer details! P.S. Don't forget the Union Flag (English/Scottish/...
