Re: dreaded crackling stereo noise since latest update

Just an observation.... I have never had any issues with our 825w Meridian audio system. Until yesterday and only while ICT Pro was taking 20mins or so to update the SatNav from the USB drive. I was simultaneously playing music files from the other USB drive and the playback suffered occasional mino...

Re: Why I'm not concerned about JLR's poor reliability performance in the Which Magazine 2020 Review

The interesting part is that I've had issues that definitely shouldn't be there on a luxury car (apart from the usual problems everyone has with ICT Pro): 1. Faulty tailgate (took two visits to the dealer to fix) 2. Broken cupholder button after two weeks (another visit to the dealer to get fixed) ...

Re: Few questions about the Velar before purchase

We have 40k on our Velar now after three years. If you search on my posts then you will see an honest, warts and all, lifecycle description of our ownership experience. Ours was one of the first delivered in 2017. There were some initial issues which were immensely annoying but they were resolved. S...

Re: Why I'm not concerned about JLR's poor reliability performance in the Which Magazine 2020 Review

Sounds like the kind of excuses I expect my dealer to dream up, not an actual customer. The good thing is that, on what is a fairly middle-of-the-road forum, we’ve provoked some difference of opinion and challenge. Which is good :) My previous Volvo forum was an interesting place to visit from time...

Why I'm not concerned about JLR's poor reliability performance in the Which Magazine 2020 Review

Here it is folks. and it doesn't make great reading - at least superficially... 20200907_Which.JPG Yes, we were saved by the Volvo XC90 and Tesla. The former has an uncanny habit of falling apart after the third anniversary - just when the Volvo manufacturer's warranty expires. Tesla, no matter what...

Re: Front Window Rattle

Here we go. The solution to the front driver window rattle heard at the top, rear end of the glass - just by your right ear! Nice. The first image has been taken from the outside. With the window fully lowered you’ll be familiar with the appearance of the black felt at the top, rearmost section of t...

Re: Front Window Rattle

That’s great !! Will seek some of this out and give it a try. How long is ‘a short length’ and where along the window line did you insert it? Thanks :) I’ll take some photos tomorrow. Couldn’t be bothered today as I was finished after replacing all the Myson TRVs in the house and having to replace ...

Re: Front Window Rattle

All I had/have this issue. Had it booked in at Chester who refused to look at it as I have, legal, front tints applied. Currently in south of France, as well as headlight issues, it rattled the whole way down and still does as it in the high 30’s (c). If I drop the window down by a slight notch and...

Re: InControl Touch Pro 20B released

Arianne, that’s very kind of you, thank you. Ubigi supply JLR with SIM’s for connected services like Navigation Pro and Live. It comes with the car (well since MY19 at least) and you have 500MB allowance each month free of charge (well after paying 70K for the car). The app which I’d never bothered...

Re: InControl Touch Pro 20B released

Checked today after washing our car. Update was ready for download, small file size as has already been said. Installed. All good but can’t see any changes. Suspect it was a bug fix. Arianne Could you check what connected services you have set for Navigation please? Also do you keep track of dat us...
