Re: Finally picked up

Oh wow, so they went a whole trim level up on you with an HSE. Nice surprise getting what you wanted + more!

Re: Opinions on roof rails?

I mean it’s hard to argue that roof racks add to the look of any car, more that they add functionality. With that said, Gerry’s goal with the velar was minimialism or as he called it “reductionism,” and at least the world design car of the year judges agreed that he hit the mark. Roof racks aren’t r...

Re: Opinions on roof rails?

I agree that unless you need them, the car looks better without, but is entirely subjective. The fact that JLR doesn’t market the velar with them on in press leads me to believe Gerry and the design team agree. With that said, they cannot be retrofitted at all, so if you’ll ever need bars, add them....

Re: Excited but worried

It just felt like the volume of unhappy people versus happy on this forum leaned towards the unhappy side .. eeek! Not to dismiss their concerns, which are valid, but there’s a rather vocal minority here  just make sure to do a proper PDI and try to negotiate a pre-delivery overnight test driv...

It means that it could be cold enough for there to be ice on the road, even though the air temperature is above freezing point of water.

Re: Rear Camera view

I believe if you tap the image it will change, could be wrong but I’ve definitely done something by accident where it changed the view like you describe. Might have been the camera icon too.

Re: Over the air update now workng

Fair! Makes sense re-reading. Glad they’re rolling out at least and that the 35 mins is a reality. That would make up for most the pain we’ve experienced software-wise.

Re: Over the air update now workng

At least this is finally officially coming to a part of JLR https://www.jaguar.co.uk/owners/software-update.html Hard to make up the incompetence at JLR  2097E329-8C40-4EED-8B76-0F6D2A10AB1C.jpeg 9827DA69-D121-4B55-A57B-075B7C2A0CEA.jpeg If this next one is true, pretty amazing they could redu...

Re: Sold the Velar

Very sorry to read this Marc. Had been wondering what the status was with your situation, and am disappointed to see the result. Don’t blame you one bit for moving on. Makes me nervous for the future, but I’m still faultless since Oct 2017 with exception of 2x software updates. Haven’t tried to get ...
