Re: Bad scratch on exterior plastics

You can’t tell if you use a quality PPF. XPEL Ultimate is one of the best, used on exotic cars primarily, and they often only wrap the bumper and bonnet (sometimes lower panels behind wheels), leaving other panels uncovered. Doing the pillars or just a single pillar should not be noticeable, except ...

Would be awesome to have the map on the cluster connected Have you managed to get this working? Nope, that is an in car software related. JLR Need to send an updated with that, but I...

Re: Apple CarPlay upgrade / IOS13

Not to mention the ability for additional displays (ie. driver display, maybe HUD) to work with the ACP navigation apps. Unclear how much JLR will have to do to make it work, though hopefully not much or we’ll be holding our breath for a while

Re: Matrix/Laser headlights..

For the animated tail lights, there’s a regulation that states a certain amount of light must flash at the beginning of the signal (rear only I believe). The velar’s animation doesn’t cut it, though some manufacturers like Audi have accomplished it by having both an animated LED strip with larger in...

Re: Chrome tips ya or nay

It’s obviously subjective, though my vote is nay. I prefer the cleaner look without the pipe showing/ as visible

Re: Any interesting aftermarket accessories?

I am also MY18, so maybe it is actually standard on HSE but not SE unless someone with a MY18 SE can confirm they have rear footwell lights and no ambient lighting. Perplexing choice if so lol.

Re: Matrix/Laser headlights..

No SE has the Matrix LED bit not Laser, I got the a RDSE, and looked into this, the LED which I have still does all the fancy up n down and auto stuff but only lacks the laser function which I wasn’t that fussed about anyway as it only activates when the road is dark and you have no one else on the...

Re: Any interesting aftermarket accessories?

Just tried mine SE with ambient lighting and it works. Seems to confirm you need ambient lighting for the rear footwell wires to be functional despite them being there. A shame! I have an HSE version without ambient lighting but the rear foot lights were already fitted and working. Hope it helps In...
