Re: 2nd Year Service

Thanks for that - as dealers go it's not so bad then. I am reluctant to use an independent as I have historically had so much trouble with Velars (I've rejected two) that I don't want to give JLR any reason not to support me should something else arise!

2nd Year Service

Have just booked my D300 in for it's 2 year birthday service - it's done 16,000 miles. I have been quoted £619 as it's a 'major' service.

Does that sound about right?

Also, are there any questions/issues I should be asking about?

Re: Bad smell

Thanks everyone, I've had a look at the filter and there seems to be nothing bad there, will have to keep investigating or hope that the smell just goes away!

Bad smell

Morning All, for the last couple of weeks my car is putting out a drainy smell from the ventilation system when I first start up. It does clear after a while but it's not ideal. I can't find the filter for the air intake for the car. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find the filter/inta...

Re: reading texts

Spoke to the dealer and it's a known issue with the latest apple phone update. Waiting for the car software to catch up now!

reading texts

Car's just been in for a software update and now I can't get the car to read texts to me - I can't find it in settings anywhere. Can any of you good people point me in the right direction please?

Cheers, Ed

Re: Ambient Lighting Queries

I've got the ambient lighting and tbh I think it's a waste of money - mine barely glows, and while there is light in the rear footwells there is nothing in the front passenger footwell. I asked and was told this was correct. And yes I have the brightness turned up and yes it remains on the colour I ...

Thanks MikeJL I knew there would be a solution. I just couldn't see it in the manual!

top screen, setting home screen

Morning, I have 'my home 1' set how I want it but my question is how do I make it the default as every time I start up, it goes to the boring 'home' screen Thanks
