Re: Remote Start

While I like the remote start option on the app because we can start our Velars from anywhere, I was hoping we also had a button on the key fob to remotely start the vehicle. I miss that on my previous vehicle. Yes, I can go into the app and start it but I’m lazy and at times would like to not spend...

Re: Nearing 20k

My text messaging via Velar stopped working for me after the recent OS update to my iPhone. Had to set ‘show notifications’ back to ON within the RR Velar device option in Bluetooth settings on phone. Works fine now. Most of my other issues with technology went away with latest update. Also have ACP...

Re: Type of Oil / Filter / etc. for 2018 Velar V6

$170 (around $190 after tax) was for the oil/filter change - full service. Also updated my software, completed a couple recall notices, and everything else checked out ok so no other charges.

Re: Type of Oil / Filter / etc. for 2018 Velar V6

Interesting - Here’s how my service invoice reads for oil:

9 12083 0W20/E Edge Prof OE Synth Oil

So, I guess it does say “E” but also says “OE”. Good catch Geo.

Mine was $170 with online coupon - Sarasota, FL.

Re: Service interval and Software updates

I get it... humour/humor. I was worried my sense of humor on my original post regarding tires/tyres would offend some. Hope it hasn’t. Never know in this world of ours. I had some comments lined up about the Queens English but decided not to post.  :D I am on a UK forum. American sense of...

Re: Type of Oil / Filter / etc. for 2018 Velar V6

Just had mine done by dealership. Looks like they used the following:

Castrol Edge Prof OE 0W-20 Full Synthetic 9 quarts
Land Rover filter LR011279

Once a year, I’ll take it to the dealership.

Service interval and Software updates

I know there’s been a lot of conversation regarding software updates and what is included with the latest version. Picked up my Velar after it’s one year service interval including a software update at no charge. Here are my initial observations/questions: Apple CarPlay - I now have it and have used...

Re: F-Pace / Velar

Picked up my Velar yesterday and pushed it a bit. Ok I stand corrected on the power feel of my Velar vs the F-Pace loaner. In dynamic (I use this often) and Sport mode (I don’t use this often) my P380 has superior performance. In standard driving modes I still feel the F-Pace sounded better and seem...

Re: Great car, Loving it, however, missing some features....! esp Auto Hold, User upgrade of software,......

Had mine in for its one year service and just got back yesterday. Was also upgraded to latest software including Apple CarPlay at no charge. They should not charge for this upgrade.

Also have the option to turn on over the air updates. Hopefully that means what it says.
