Re: Non-Pivi Map Updates
Just checked https://www.landrover.here.com/index.php and when I sign in the site loads as expected. US Map updates and the downloader app work too and I updated my maps succesfully. Not sure why you are having an issue. BTW my maps subscription expires with the warranty (4 years after purchase).

Re: Installing S20C now...
20C rolled out in US. Haven't had a chance to test fully, but it hasn't reverted to having the fan control automatically enabled when the temperatures are synced across both zones. (First world problems...)

Re: Latest Major Software Update
Are you referring to 20C (being discussed for iPace here https://www.i-paceforum.com/threads/new-incontrol-touch-pro-release-s20c-20-43-1-618886.6696/ )? Usually this is pushed to cars in campaigns, with different regions being available at different times. Nothing has shown up for me yet in the US....

Re: CarPlay and iOS14
I have iOS14.1 on the iPhone XR and have had (so far) no problems with CarPlay (music, iHeart Radio, Google/Apple maps). This is with 20B1 infotainment software. I do want to share a last ditch solution that worked for me a couple of years ago when the maps apps were going haywire on CarPlay (this w...

Re: Ambient lighting?
Hmm - if the hardware is installed then the configurable lighting should be in your menu options when you swipe left. If they are not there then a trip to your dealer will likely be needed to activate them.

Re: Ambient lighting?
The standard is white ambient lighting in doors and front footwells. This is not configurable. Upgraded ambient lighting with different colors is an option that needs to be selected when ordering the car, and is configurable in the menu. I suspect your car doesn't have this fitted. I also don't thin...

Re: 2021 Velar
Interesting - thank you. I wonder why they dropped the 4 cylinder petrol engine? The straight 6 petrol sounds like a beast though. I’m guessing this will be the only engine that makes it to the US as the diesels probably won’t be sold here. If the pictures are accurate, the rotary gear selector has ...

Re: Few questions about the Velar before purchase
Welcome to the forum. If you look through the past posts, you will see that many members do a lot more with their Velars than just drive around the city! I’ve got close to 40K miles on mine including trips up to the mountains during the winter, drives along the beach and dunes, and long road trips i...

Re: Beach Driving in the Velar
Great pictures and video.
My beach driving this year has been curtailed by the closure of Oceano Dunes due to Covid. The Velar does tend to stick out amongst the Hummers and raised pick up trucks there when we do go! It’s not Nantucket...
