Re: Bike Rack

I’ve got a Thule towbar one... really happy with it. I think the Land Rover towbar one might actually be made by Thule, it looks the exact same, but is just a lot more expensive!

Re: Headlining staining

Ah ok thanks! They’ve already replaced my headlining once under warranty for a separate issue with the original one! I might live with it unless it gets worse...

It’s not an easy job, the windscreen needs to come out and they had my car for four days when then did it.

Re: Key confusion

Haven’t tried that scenario, but I presume if you lock it with the wristband it will only open again with the wristband? Or if not, presumably opening it with the second key will reactivate the first key inside the car also. I am sure they have implemented it in a way that won’t leave the key inside...

Re: Dashcams

No worries! Yeah I would recommend them. I booked with avrmobiles but the actual guy who did it for them was cavehicleinstallations.co.uk (I think avr just contract out to independent installers). He was based in Wales but covers Bristol where I am. He hadn’t done a Velar before but had done Range R...

Re: Dashcams

Sorry for slow reply!

He wired it into the tow bar electrics, and it was all done behind the panel on the passenger side of the boot. I have a Cellink B battery to power it when the car is off and he hid that behind that panel.

Re: Dashcams...

I have a thinkware F770 front and rear. Posted pictures in another thread: https://www.velarforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1190&p=10838#p10838 Since the pictures, I’ve moved the rear cam to bottom of the rear window, to improve the fact that it was it referring with the DAB. I booked the install t...

Headlining staining

Has anyone else got light headlining with any yellow staining? Especially around the sunroof? It’s hard to see in the picture as it’s not that obvious but I’ve noticed it in a couple of places... I think it could be the adhesive coming through.

Re: Deployable Tow Bar

It’s an expensive option but I do like it... that and the air suspension are my gadgets to show off to people :-)

Re: Speedo indicating 5% high

I understood that most cars over-read by about 5% and they do that deliberately for safety reasons. I doubt you can do anything to change it.
