Hi,
I have the "new" activity key (the one w/a display). It's been absolutely great given the endless number of places I've passed and all the opportunities I had to lose the normal key.

The one problem is that the key gets out of sync time-wise, by a few minutes every week.
One dealership claimed they fixed it; it had no impact. Second dealership said they don't even have the device to program it.

Do others experience the same problem? If not, can you check what firmware you have? It's under the Info gear in the watch. Mine is FW 20.37.01.

Thanks!

Yes, I have the problem. Given up using it as a watch as I have one of those on my other wrist!

I’ll have a look, but not near home right now.

Quick question - with the new activity key I’m led to believe that there is now no requirement to have the standard key with you at all, unlike the previous activity key which had to have the normal key left secreted somewhere in the car while you went off doing your activity.
Has anyone tried this and gone out away from your keys and actually locked the car and then returned while leaving the normal key at home?? I haven’t had the opportunity to try it!!!

Thanks

Yes, I’ve tried this a number of times, I did it firstly quite close to home (so I could walk and get the key if it went wrong!) and now I’ve used it miles away and left the key at home.
All fine, it works In the same way as the key (full keyless entry if you have that) occasionally it asks to put it close to the steering wheel to authenticate it (maybe the output is lower than the key).
I’m a bit obsessive about having a good charge on it before I do use it, even though the battery seems to last over 3 weeks from a full charge.

It’s not an everyday scenario for me but if I’m out doing sport or walking and don’t want a heavy set of keys with me it’s ideal.

Never had to have another key with me at all. The normal key was thousands of miles away.
That said, good (?) to know others have that problem as well - if someone does not, would love to know your watch firmware version.
