MikeJL you may well be right with some other manufacturers etc but Land Rover are consistently in the bottom of the reliability leagues, including cars out of warranty

I wish LR would offer the same deal as Honda and Lexus - every year after year 3, providing you get the car serviced at a Main Dealer, you get another years full manufacturers warranty for free. They offer this until the car is 10 years old. Servicing costs are reasonable and not increased to reflect the free extended warranty - they are the same fixed fee as cars not being offered the warranty due to previous services carried out by independents. That shows confidence that the cars are well built !
