If an extended warranty is £855, I think it's best to look at how far that amount goes against common fault and repair costs. I suspect not very far? So it could be argued its probably cost effective!

I've never had any warranty on anything, car or household appliances, that I've been asked to pay for. So I could argue I've saved a lot as I've not spend much on repairs on any of the aforementioned. Looking at it that way I could argue I have a pot of money i've saved on not buying warranties, so any future repair costs could be offset against it.

But even after weighing all that up, in a years time, and for the first time, I will be renewing the JLR warranty.
