Out of curiosity, what mpg figures are we getting?

Odometer - 302 miles

Best journey, 32.7 mpg over 34.5 miles, avg 48 mph. Mainly motorway.

I've just topped up the car for the first time and it's saying 315 miles range on a full tank.

A full tank on my D300 FE shows to be 460 miles. Mpg varies from 32mpg around town to anything like 64mpg on a motorway run with cruise control on! Done 1600 miles so far so engine running in nicely touchwood!

I think he means that on that journey he averaged a speed of 48mph not mpg. I could be wrong though.

I just copied the stats from the incontrol app. Yep, 48mph was the average speed it recorded.

We collected our D300 FE last week, after leaving the dealer and filling the full tank we enjoyed a gentle 290 mile drive on
mostly motorway and A roads.

I was impressed with the indicated 40mpg but experience tells me not to believe this and I was proven right, after filling the tank again my school boy mathematics increased it to a very accurate 42.5 mpg.
And I hope this will improve with age.
