hi our new p400e charging indicator (situated next to cable socket) shows status at first, but then goes out and doesn't reappear, even to indicate full charge.
not a major issue overall - but any thoughts please?

Well so does mine and it irritates me too. It seems so obvious that the LED should show the status.
Why not -
White- initiating.
Green flashing - charging.
Green solid - fully charged.

My old Tesla did that maybe so you could see an overstayer on a public charge point.

This seems to be the norm. It happens exactly as yours in my wife’s p300e Evoque

Sounds daft. What does your iGuide say?

The online manual suggests the green charge complete thing should stay on. Have I read this wrong?

Perhaps the software authors don't talk to the User Manual authors?
They'll argue that they switch off the LEDs to save 20mA load

No Fenton, that's exactly how i think we all read it - hence the post / responses, but thank you all. i hate these online manuals too!!!!
they are fine as long as you 'know what you don't know' as Rumsfeld once observed its the 'unknown unkowns' that enhance understanding - for example when you're flicking through real pages.
must be getting old.
