JLR has stated that this both are coming soon. I am hoping that truly means a firmware update — and not the 2019 model.

I was told by JLR staff in June 2017 that Apple Car Play and Android Auto would be working in my car on delivery in November 2017. Did not happen. They cannot even get what tech is in the car working so what hope is there that cars already delivered will 1 accept software update to add this functionality 2 if they add it will it work 3 JLR will state it does not apply to cars already delivered.

I read that JLR are moving to a new chipset supplier. If search google you will find posts about this.

 Well, that's disappointing. Wish they knew how to manage expectations at JLR considering so many reports of "don't worry, it's coming." to 1st gen Velar owners since the car was unveiled.

Got my car back today after the 18D update! Super happy, ACP and AA installed. And free of charge!
First impressions: ACP working really well. Tried Spotify, Google maps and Waze and all worked well.
They also did some firmware update for the lower screen and graphics are slightly different from before. Looks cool. Loving it!
