New wing mirror - do I need a reset?

Post by smit33d » Thu Jul 22, 2021 7:40 pm

Hi, recently had the joy of trying to find a new wing mirror unit for my velar after the missus smashed ours of :x finally found one with the correct loom ( I know have another incorrect one for sale if anyone needs!). After I took it off all hell broke loose due to sensors - temp read as -40, air con would not come on ( just in time for the heatwave) then engine warning light and then after driving exhaust filter full reducing power. I’m hoping all these will be wiped when I fit the mirror.
2 questions - will I need someone to reset the computer when I connect the new mirror to remove the errors 2) worries the exhaust filter warning may be a by product of the engine warning light and it not regenerating so will need a clean at the very least - hoping it’s just another sensor issue that will be fixed when the mirror is on. Any advice on these points guys? Cheers Dave

Hello,

I'm having similar issue with my velar. How did you sort it in the end?
