Retrofit Folding Mirrors

Post by BespokeInstalls » Mon Jan 07, 2019 6:50 pm

Hi all.......
Is it possible to retrofit folding mirrors to a Velar?
I’m shocked they wouldn’t come as standard!!
I’ve experience with adding folding mirrors to Audi’s!
I’ve understanding that they may not be preloomed for them, or that there maybe door control modules that would need to be changed, & the switch would have to be changed.......possible coding also!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm not sure, but topix shows that all mirrors share the same wiring connector:

The functionality seems to be controlled through software:
Each door module is attached to the closing panel in the related door and connected to the door harness.
The Driver Door Module (DDM) and the Passenger Door Module (PDM) interpret the signals into appropriate outputs for the related door mirrors from the following:
  • The Body Control Module/Gateway Module (BCM/GWM) assembly
  • The driver door switchpack.

Wow.....thanks for coming back with that info!!
Would you know how Range Rovers are coded? BMW use AutoLogic, VAG group use VAG Com & so on.....
