Blind Spot Systems

Post by AJR300 » Tue Oct 15, 2019 7:16 pm

Can JLR Customer Services clear up an issue please?

I have just taken delivery of a D300 SE, August build, September delivery.

It replaced a D300 SE delivered in October 2018.

In simple terms the previous vehicle had a Blind Spot Monitor as, I believe, standard equipment but it seems to have disappeared from the spec of new vehicles with only the Blind Spot Assist available as a £450 option or as part of a pack.

What has happened here?

The Blind Spot system is standard on HSE spec but not SE for MY20 vehicles. You would have needed to specify the Drive Pack or specify as a stand alone option to benefit from this functionality.

Thanks for the reply

For JLR's planners, I would prefer to have blind spot monitoring than the now standard park assist system
