Regarding the wind noise it was only my impression, I've tested another Velar they had there as a demo car and it was doing exactly the same noise
What does it sound like and where is it coming from? I have an isolated wind noise coming from the driver's side window. I think it's the window seal. That's the only place it seems to be coming from. General cabin noise seems low however.
It was from the rear part of the car in general, like if there is a very little bit, almost nothing, of the windows left open.

Nothing from the front thó

Is there anyone out there who can get us a confirmation that the 'Phase 3 Update' or 19C officially supersedes the latest 17C6 Version everyone keeps talking about?

I had this installed (19c maybe?), not sure if it helps

But I guess there could be a misunderstanding: in my opinion the above and the 17C etc are something like a “firmware” update of the system while the “phase 3” is the software update of the system. As you can see below they seems to be different updates

The latter seems to be “on” the “19C”

Hi All.

In my post on the 19/4/18 I advised that my car was having the following installed:

Heated seats cutting out - LTB01182 Hevac control software update
IN control iPod and iPhone issues - LTB01108 V3 NGI phase 3 software update to infotainment muster control. Pathfinder V154 - latest version 19/04/18.

So far the seats seem to now operate without switching off, but I have yet to do any real testing as the weather has been too warm! The update does change the seat image in the lower screen to heater elements shown in red running from just below the headrest to the knee roll.

However the ITCP has been a revelation and frankly is how the car should have been on its release. So far there have been no issues with using my iPhone X (v11.3) and the calls are clear at both ends. As for the USB music streaming (bluetooth) connections to my iPod they are stable, have worked every time and Spotify comes up in the App screen after a few seconds of starting the car.

It all just works.... and beautifully. Whilst I never really enjoyed my first Velar as much as I thought I would, due to all the niggles and issues, this second one, with the new updates installed have changed that. It has become the car I thought it would be when the first press images were released and the car announced early last year.

The only thing that is still a (small) niggle is that the speed alert warning will not stay on by default, The traffic signal recognition does, but the alert itself has to be set to on each time you re-start the car.

Other than that, so far I love the car and it has behaved itself and does what it says in the tin! It is so different from its predecessor simply because the ITCP does what it should and works.

Deepak

Thanks for the update Deepak! That's great to here. Mine is currently at the dealership getting the HVAC recall work done (had temporary fix since January), but strangely enough, when I asked for the latest software update he said it's on hold as it's corrupted two Velars so far. I was in a rush (and don't have any glaring infotainment niggles while still running on 17C), so didn't have time to dig into whether he was referring to 17C6 or this seemingly brand new 19C. I'm going to call them now and share the screen shots (thank you Mr. Singh and Co. for sharing those). Either way, glad it's solved your problems!

I am happy, though, that the loaner I received is a FULLY loaded HSE Velar (black interior). Full extended leather & all the bells & whistles - basically a 1st edition without the badging. Beautiful, and makes me regret not getting that leather upgrade on my own even more than I already did

Here's a shot of it:

Just had the service manager call me back, and he did indeed confirm that the 19C update is the one that has "burned two Velar computers" already, so they've stopped installing it. Obviously it's all very confusing considering some of us have had success already, and likely points to the errors being component supplier dependent (since there's multiple suppliers of same components). This also confirms that the 19C supersedes 17C6.

So are we saying 17c6 is:

201710C.10.4957. ?????

What does 19c show then???

Mine just back with no update - booked back in for 14th May with. JLR tech to meet me at dealership and they’re keeping the car until it’s resolved.

As I said in the other topic Probably the 19c update is referred to the “firmware” update and not “software”, but i’m Just guessing from what I saw in their system, as you can see in the picture below “19C” is stated on the left while on the right is still saying “update needed”

But that is only my 2 cents

I got my new Velar yesterday, and asked for the latest software version, and got this one.

This is not the latest because there is no online media, but which one is it? Can anyone see that?

Edit: file uload not working.

App version says only this;
34.17-1480

My software version is "34.17-1480" and the Velar has just been delivered!
On TOPIx there are no updates scheduled for my VIN.
I have the annoying problem of SIM randomly stops working!
