P300 Dynamic HSE

Post by TPM » Wed Apr 10, 2019 4:14 pm

Hi Everyone, I am seriously thinking of changing my older RR Sport for the P300, but wondered if the forum can advise if the P300 is up for the job, and if the MPG is worse than stated.

Thanks in advance...

I don’t have the P300 but I have the 2.0 D240 and it’s more than capable, so I don’t see the P300 being any different. There’s a few owners who have one and I’ve not heard any complaints in terms of performance.

In regards to economy, it’s like any manufacturer, you’ll do well to get the claimed figures.

I have the p300 I got 36mpg driving London to Brecon recently and I get low 20s mpg driving ‘around town’. I think it’s got a good amount of power and grunt with out costing an absolute fortune on fuel. Mines a 2018 so I have the slightly smaller fuel tank which they’ve increased now I believe. I use the premium petrol it seems to give better fuel economy or maybe I’m just imagining that.

I felt the P300 HSE with options was good for me.
Colour choice is the hard one 😆.

I have that spec, it’s awesome. Miss the low down grunt of a big diesel, especially when overtaking on the motorway where the velar will down change and get the revs up rather than pull from low down.

I’ve not broken 30mpg yet, including a very long run down to south Germany but it’s only 2.5k miles I’m so that may well improve...

Get air suspension, get the adaptive cruise and it’s a very quiet and capable cruiser
