MY21 on its way!!

Post by Hedders » Fri Sep 11, 2020 5:03 pm

Hi all,
I have just had a call from my dealer to ask if I wanted to continue with my current order, or wait a couple of weeks longer and have the updated MY21 with a new version of the D300 engine and a brand new entertainment system.
Delivery expected January 2021....
MY21 for me, I think!
Dealer had just been contacted by factory to ask for choice of order from me!

Nice. Same engines as the 21MY Defender and Pivi Pro.

They didn’t know which engines will be available, but I’d go for a D350 if it is available. Apparently they will know in about two weeks and then the configurator will be updated shortly afterwards....

LR would appear to be moving away from 4 pot Ingenium except for some petrol options. Feel sorry for the 20MY Defender buyers. 6 cylinder has more torque and I imagine sounds and feels much better. More appropriate for the size of car.

Had ordered a new D300 at end of July due for delivery in October, but my dealer has just phoned me to say that JLR are no longer going to build D300s and suggested I change the order to a D275. Is anyone else aware of the demise of the D300 ?

Lets hope they sort the issues out with the Pivi pro! they have offered all new defender owners the option to have their money back due to issues with all vehicles fitted with Pivi pro.

Haha where did you hear that?! Pivi pro can’t be anywhere near as bad as Incontrol at launch. Guess the F pace upgrades are a good clue aswell.

Hmmm, I think I’m underwhelmed.
