Will do, I’ll see if it’s available through the group, if one has it surely they all have it. In fact I might just email them all

My dealer has agreed to apply the update free of charge however they don't have time to do it before tomorrows collection so its being booked in early in the new year to be completed, interestingly they have said it takes 6 hours and needs to be constantly supervised whilst its being done...

More BS surely? Are they installing Windows 3.11 and need to keep swapping the floppies? (With apologies to the younger generation on here)

I’m just about old enough to remember the floppy disc.

They told me 4 hours, but never mentioned constant supervision. They did say it can crash and has to be started all over again.

Well no reply from Pentland Edinburgh but it could just be that the person I emailed wasn’t in today

I thought that ACP and AA came as part of the 18C and later updates, which do take many hours to do along with supervision from the acolytes. Once 18C is installed all that is required is activating these functions.

My Velar was updated to 18C as part of its PDI and after I mentioned ACP and AA the dealer turned on them for me without any issues and gave the impression it was just a couple of minutes to activate the functionality.

Rainman, if your dealer is quoting 4 hours I would assume your car does not already have 18C or later. If you already have the update then it may be worth querying the amount of time he is estimating. If you have any of the issues that 18C and 18D resolve then your dealer should be resolving these anyway, with or without AA and ACP activation.

I pity the iPace owners that apparently do have over the air updates that download as you drive and install when you park the car. How many will come back and find the update has crashed and have to sit there for an hour or two while it has another go?

That’s not unique to I-PACE... they all ship like that now.
