Great pics. They’re my favourite wheels, I went to add them and then they wanted another £800 for AD... which is now free 😒

Drop it off at the dealers to have both headlights replaced.

Took car on usual Friday trip to supermarket, butchers, and other local shops.

Not exciting in itself but it was the first time since I topped the tyre pressures up yesterday that I’d driven the car.

I have learned that the Velar, with 22’s is very sensitive to tyre pressures. The car drove and felt so much better, much smoother on the road and more “Range Rover”. In fact I think it’s better than ever and makes me suspect that the tyres might have been a bit light when I collectedthe car.

3 tyres were only 2 lb out, alone was 3 lb. So next investment is a good quality digital tyre pressure gauge. And more attention to them rather than waiting for the light to come on...

Is there a way of calibrating the TPM system?

On my wife's little Peugeot they recommend occasionally measuring the tyre pressure manually with an accurate gauge and there is a process for telling the car what the actual pressure is so it indicates correctly, is there a JLR equivalent I wonder.
On order, due December 2018: MY19.5, Kaikoura Stone, D300 R-Dynamic HSE, R-Dynamic Black Pack, 20" 10 spoke Satin Dark Grey wheels, fixed pano roof, Driver Assist pack, On/Off Road pack, Light Oyster seats and headlining.

There seems to be a way of calibrating according to the iGUIDE - but it doesn’t seem to/I can’t see where it says exactly how! It seems to suggest it’s done through the instrument panel settings menus.

I haven’t got the book out of the car though, it might be in there..

On Swmbo’s Fiat, you have to reset the TPMS after it’s been triggered and the fault corrected. With the Velar system, after the pressures were adjusted the light had gone so no reset required. This seems a better system to me.
