D275 - any help?

Post by chapperzsayz » Tue Dec 04, 2018 7:36 pm

Hi guys, has anyone driven (or know of anyone who has driven) the new D275? Toying between this and D300.

For context, my insurance increases by 300 quid for the D300, so thats why I am favouring toward the D275 at the moment.

cheers,

Chris.

My insurance for D275 is 1100, and 1400 for the D300 (context is I have only been driving 5 years).

I have test driven the D300 and absolutely love it, I don't want to be disappointed.

D300 won’t disappoint on economy or performance
That’s for sure.

That said the d240”s I drive were also impressive

The difference between the 275 and 300 will be marginal. It’s the same engine so will still be silky smooth

I’ve had the 3.0 on Discovery’s and it’s no slouch hauling 2.5t+ and that was only with 256hp.

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with the 275.

My D240 can shift, it don’t sound pretty but it can still give the V6s a run for their money.

Thanks guys - on paper there doesn’t appear to be too much difference, just hesitant buying a brand new engine without driving it first.

It’s not brand new it’s just a detuned D300 👍🏻

oh really? any ideas why they have done this (just for the price point) as the emissions and mpg are the same.

Just more choice I suppose. 2 2.0 and 2 3.0

Reading up they wanted a V6D in a price range hence the 275. I have one ordered and not driven one but looking at the very little difference in performance the 275 made more sense.
