At least this is finally officially coming to a part of JLR

Hard to make up the incompetence at JLR

If this next one is true, pretty amazing they could reduce the time to 35 minutes when we’ve heard it takes dealers many hours... we shall see:

Download won’t stop you, installation might. Could have been presented better, but each statement is correct in its own little bubble.

Fair! Makes sense re-reading. Glad they’re rolling out at least and that the 35 mins is a reality. That would make up for most the pain we’ve experienced software-wise.

@P380NavikEclipse: I forgot to say I agree with your sentiment regarding JLR’s general incompetence.

Have to admit I am beginning to wonder if mine did actually update over the air or if it simply didn't register a dealer performed update on ICTP for a couple of days after it was with the dealer and then the telematics a day or two after that (as has been suggested), though my dealer maintains I'm not the only one to have had over the air updates - including my salesman on his own Evoque.

1. No one else on the forum has seen a successful over the air update, which it would be reasonable to expect others on 18C to have seen, even if not all yet.
Interesting change of mind after being aggressive when I wrote this earlier. 🙄

Guys, no idea what caused that huge data consumption, I have the same 18C version an no telematics.

Any idea?

Nope, I was obviously mistaken about the over the air update, or JLR did this remotely to try and resolve the InControl issue I had at the time (cured though car did not return to the dealers).

Other than this I have no idea what consumed the large amount of data shortly after I took delivery of the car.
