SE 850 system and yes i get the crackling/popping audio every 3/4 starts on the car. Seems to happen more when i start the car after a short break.

JLR Hatfields Liverpool have advised me an update is being released in June to hopefully fix this issue.

SE with 850w system

Happens about twice a week on average.

Boot up sequence is irrelevant and makes no difference for me
On order:

I've had my Velar R-Dynamic SE for just over 3 weeks and have had multiple issues with it. The infotainment system and sat nav were both upgraded last week (to correct crashing / freezing faults), but I'm still suffering with crackling / white noise audio. I do listen to music at a high volume and I've also noticed when the audio goes rubbish quality, the volume is also affected.

I am now in discussion to reject the vehicle. £60,000 for a motor which has to date (3 weeks old and 233 miles on the clock) has already 5 different faults, and has been in the dealership for 3 days. The main faults being the drivers door not closing properly and 3 entire panels (1x driver side and 2x passenger side) needed to be replaced due to incorrect installation at the factory in Liverpool.

D300 HSE here running 18D and randomly does spit and crackle on the audio as and when it wants.

No Rhyme or reason just frigging annoying when it does it and it’s probably 3-4 times a week at which point I drive silent until next full shut down.

Aware of updates but have not had the inclination to get it re booked in to be done.

Got a couple of days off In june so maybe then.

Still love the car to bits though has to be said 🤩

I’ve got mine booked in for Monday. A road test with one of the service team to show them the crackle as they couldn’t reproduce last time.

Let’s hope it actually crackles on the day to finally prove to them I’m not hearing things!
