Washer-Jets Alignment

Post by MBvelar » Sun May 19, 2019 11:07 am

I find the washer-jets for the window screen are appalling & badly designed !

I have to realign all six jets on a weekly basis ! And now getting rather tired keeping having to adjust them.

Anyone else have issues with the jets moving out of alignment ??

Not that I have noticed to be honest in the last 14 months or so!

Just me then...

Think I'll get the dealer to check it out next time, because I shouldn't be having to realign them so often !

My car has poor alignment for the passenger washer jet; hardly any water falling in the windscreen from this. I have booked my car in to have it looked at. Anyone tried re-aligning it themselves? The washer jet appear to be on a holding bracket under the bonnet. Not sure whether wedging it with a small bit of plastic would do the job. Although I haven't have to do that myself. The hassle of having to leave the car in the dealership for a day puts me off though!

Push a pin into the nozzle hole & use that to move the nozzle. Bit of trial and error should get them pointing in the right direction.

Funnily enough, i had to sort my drivers side jets using the pin method just yesterday.
Took me forever and a whole lot of screenwash! 😂

Same here !

Having to do this weekly now.

Anyone got any diagrams on how the washer-jets are installed/removed ? As they are attached to the posts on the plastic panel.

This is happening to me.
Drivers side doesn’t even go up over 2-3 inches from bottom of screen. This is a newly replaced part after the last failed.

Will try the pin method.
