my P250 often just turn it off and the fan starts ... for about 1/2 minutes ... so it's normal?

The car had only done 3000 miles and water pump gone!![emoji35]
Did you think that you bought a Lexus? This is a Rover it happens and you got it fixed. [emoji3]

This is normal. Mine cuts in sometimes at a low speed after switching off if hot out for 20 seconds or so. (P300)
20 seconds or so is normal, but we're talking constantly here.

Mine had the problem and is indeed Petrol P300 but the issue was the fan comes on at anytime and stays on. The sound is very, very load.
I think the fan coming on after shutdown for a short period is normal

I think I'm experiencing the same issue right now on my P250 Velar 19.

Hope it will be fixed.

Issue start occurring after reaching around 6000 km of mileage.

Same here for last 2 months. Bit annoying.

Can I leave this till service in 6 months or could it damage the engine?

I wouldn't risk it. It should be fixed on warranty anyway.
Also it's super annoying!

I've dropped the car today at the shop.

They knew from the start it's a water pomp issues. I haven't had to explain anything. I guess they had a lot of similar complains.

Issue will be fixed on warranty.

My 2019 P250 SE started this a couple weeks ago. It's not hot enough for it to go non-stop but it starts after a few minutes of driving and sounds full-blast. It seems START/STOP causes it to go quiet when stopped at a light, but starts right back again as soon as I let off the brake. Unfortunately, I'm on an island (Maui) and there is no dealer here for warranty or any other kind of service and I would have to ship it by regularly scheduled barge to Honolulu to have any work done on it. I'm at about 8000 miles and have not had service on it yet since received new. I'm planning on taking it to a local BOSCH Service Center for it's 10k service but that's a couple months away. The temperature gage does not go past the middle mark so it's not getting too hot. Thoughts? Suggestions?
