New software Pivi pro

Post by marcocarnevali » Tue Sep 10, 2019 3:55 pm

Hello guys, Range Rover just announced the all new Defender along with their new Infotainment OS called Pivi Pro. Does anyone know if this will be available as an update for our Velars?

Its only just been announced !

I would doubt it will be available as an update unless LR are using the same hardware for the ICE system. Newer Velar's may well have it from MY21 ?
Velar HSE D240 - MY19 (1st Range Rover and my 10th LR now)
Served by the excellent Shukers Land Rover of Ludlow - 20 years of amazing customer service.

Strangely the current infotainment was as quick, smooth and faultless on the Velar promotional videos.
Current R-Dynamic D180 S with a few extras successfully rejected.

On order:
D275 R-Dynamic HSE, Firenze Red, Heated Steering Wheel (a must after missing it out on the old car) Dynamic Pack, Black Roof, Privacy Glass.

Just specced a Defender 110. You can max it out at 94k. They’ve lost their minds.

Highly doubtful but I am just as curious as you are.

Also, every video out there about the Defender doesn't touch the infotainment system, it's not ready, any videos showcasing it right now isn't running in real time.

This is an entirely new product line, with roots in the DEFENDER core values, but features new technologies and modern upgrades. So not entirely surprised it is more expensive than the original - will suit all the righ farmers in Lancs, Gloucestershire, the Cotswolds and the Chilterns just fine.

I am sure they will have different models, features and pricing in Africa and East Asia.

I think it is absolutely stunning and brings more to the brand. I am not in the market for an SUV but if I was, this would be a close fourth car.
