@haybird

Yes mate, disappointing and disgraceful to be honest, especially after I had all the patter from them about restoring faith in the badge etc etc. All talk.

Dealership want me to pay 2k upfront and an extra 100 a month for the same car I have now spec for spec.

Unbelievable.

Haven’t spoke to finance company but can’t see what they can do anyway.

Even with interest rates dropping they shouldn’t be expecting you to pay the same let alone more for the same spec given your issues. All brands have issues, it’s how you deal with them sets you apart from the competition. They have let you down I feel here 😢

@haybird

Took me by surprise mate, just got this impression of “yeh, Velar is more popular now so you can jog on mate”

Already getting offers through Carwow for BMW X3 and Audi Q5.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been nice through all of this, very patient, never kicking off and being an idiot but this is what you get in the end. Maybe I should have been a bit more animated as it were.

I have a colleague who’s brother in law works for JLR and he was saying that they were offering heavily discounted Velars to employees because that model wasn’t selling as well as they expected. Given the current outlook with trade generally you think they want to bite your hand off to do an attractive deal!

@HarryR

wow, makes me feel even more peed off now!

Bloke from the dealership sat there with me, like the Velar was the best feeling car in the world.

Idiot.

drivethedeal.com are offering £7389 off a D180SE which includes a LR contribution of £4,000 towards finance (4.9% APR). Similar amounts will be available on other models. Might be worth contacting them?

I suspect the attractive deals are all for the D180. If you want anything a bit more exotic there’s likely to be a painfully long lead time and no invective to buy. It’s all about shifting stock already in the pipeline.

£8383 off a D275 SE
£9372 off a D300 HSE

Looks like now is a great time to buy a Velar!

Where are those deals? Really happy with mine, coming up to year old next month, only few little niggles same as all Landrover I’ve had. Mine was stock car, so would have added a few extras, but the deal was to good to turn down
