Auxiliary Heater and the Remote App

Hi all,

I used to have a RR Sport, and one of its joys was being able to Pre-condition the cabin from some distance away using the Remote App to start the Auxiliary Heater. (The key fob for the heater only has a 100 metre range, in ideal conditions).

My MY21 Velar currently will not do this - it will only start the engine which for me is often inappropriate. Out of interest, the car arrived new at the dealership without the heater key fob. They ordered one from the factory there and then, but it took almost 4 weeks to arrive!! The CRC/CEC don’t know if it’s possible to use the App, although the dealer is sure it is, and it used to work perfectly on my RR Sport! I just don’t think that the remote server is configured correctly to tell the App that my car has the heater fitted.

So my question is this......
Does anyone have the auxiliary heater AND be able to use it to Pre-condition the cabin by using the REMOTE APP? If so, please can you also tell me your model year!!

I’ve got the auxiliary heater but can only turn it on with the fob too... it’s my first Land Rover with one so I didn’t know turning it in via the app might be possible!

Please - does anyone else have this option. Car has been at Dealer for two weeks and JLR don’t understand it. I need to compare notes with someone else who has this option.

I can only turn heater on with the fob too!
From the Remote I can only start the engine and it is srange for me too.
