D200 vs P250?

Hey,

I have ordered a D200 SE, should be with me in April hopefully!

Can I get some consumer reviews from the D200? I guess for the reassurance more than anything! I heard the P250 needs to be revved a lot more to get going. Plus diesels will give me better fuel economy and low down grunt etc.

Really impressed by the D200. Refined and responsive with smooth power delivery. The MEHV assisted acceleration is very smooth. Test drove the D240 before buying and the D200 feels equally responsive. It is also a fantastic motorway cruiser with a hushed cabin. My previous car was a 2 litre diesel X3, the D200 is a better engine and a really good fit for the automatic transmission. Fuel economy of around 43 mph already is also impressive. Definitely does not feel underpowered.

I had both. P250 very thirsty but didn’t find lower end torque too much of an issue. D200 a little more noisy but that’s expected and the cabin is so good you will not notice it. I’m glad I chose the D200 the second time around, a great package of economy and torque.
