Ball joint gone
Anyone else had issues with premature wear on their offside ball joint? My 18 plate is three yrs old in mid March, so I took it to get MOT'd a month early today at the local independent specialist in case there were any issues whilst still under warranty. It failed! 22k of normal road use. Apparently the ball joint is so bad that there is a serious risk of the wheel becoming detached. To make matters worse the main dealer service dept is closed because it's Saturday...how appalling is that!

Yikes! Land Rover Assist and get a loan car if you feel it’s unsafe to drive?

Odd. 42k and 3.5yrs. Main dealer undertook MOT in September 2020. All fine. Ours rides on air (which poses a whole range of other longer-term questions about compressor, those rubber balloons etc. Non technical terms there
)
