Hi

Well this morning, I received a call from LR customer services. I have to take my car into a dealer for up to two days, for the change to my system. He says it is an issue due to passing ‘secrets’ between systems.

He says this issue was unknown when I called it a recall that was known about.

I said multiple people with MY21 cars had this problem, not having car registered, profiles being deleted etc.

Hi
Had a reply from jlr saying

technical team have advised the vehicle has not synced with our backend system and this wiill require the retailer to attempt a vehicle shared secret, using the diagnostic tool.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Got car booked in 21st April and that want it for up to 3 days
Not happy.

Exactly the same issue with vehicle. JLR seem to think it's OK to respond to an email just once a day so took about 10 days to get where I am at. Vehicle booked in on 18th March (arranged a week or so ago) and am taking the JLR email with me that confirms what is needed. Thankfully only need it for the day.

My MY21 currently with dealer and they today advised they have fixed the inability to log the Velar into InControl - hooray. However they are now dealing with another issue: despite car not logging into InControl since arrival, I have always been able to link to the car from the iPhone Remote App or website and see journey details, remaining mileage etc. However, the link abruptly stopped working on the app on Saturday - not showing any journeys since then and still thinks the car is where I was on Saturday. Has anybody else experienced this problem?

I received my car today (in the US) and, surprise, despite telling the dealer twice about the issue other members experience (and him assuring me that "everything was checked and works") it of course does not, and I cannot log in to InControl (which alternatively says that I should use Incontrol website or just says "Unknown error" depending on which menu you do this from).

They now opened a ticket and say "it will take a few days but we probably will be able to fix it remotely".

My question: has anyone had this fixed "remotely", or did it require the car back in the garage? I want to know if to insist they take the car sooner instead of waiting a few days for nothing.

Thank you...

My dealer took 4 days - it is a couple of hours, but they had never done it and JLR were slow in helping them.

I doub't it can happen remotely. I would contact the "Customer Experience Centre" on T: +44345 303 2303
