All season tyres 265 v 275 - General Grabber AT3

Post by daerlegin » Tue Mar 16, 2021 8:53 am

Hi I have Velar D300 with 22” diamond cut alloys and Pirelli P zero tyres. 265 40 r22. They are hopeless off road on a muddy track or wet grass field, and as I spend some time in those conditions I want to change the tyres. I also have inner and outer sidewall cuts on two tyres despite being careful.

Friend has RR with 275 40 r22 General Grabber AT3 all season and loves them. Question is can I put 275 on instead of 265 on to my alloys as General Grabber doesn’t come in 265 as far as I can see.

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Should fit, Nige. Just a bit wider in diameter (about 14mm), so your sidewall will be more noticeable. In access height, you may just want to double check that extra 14mm fits in the wheel well without rubbing.
