Velar D300 - R HSE

Hi. New to the forum. Owned a few perf cars and only one four by four ( Macan turbo ). Currently looking for a car for myself and the Mrs to share.
Came across a lovely 2018 velar in carpathian grey, 13,500 miles and what looks to be a lovely spec.

It’s a private car priced at £45,750. I’d prefer to buy from an approved used dealer but can’t find the right spec unfortunately..

How does pricing seem on the above car, also I’d be looking to extend the warranty - any ideas of costs?

Any common areas of issues to look out for and is the 3.0d HSE the one to go for?

Looks beautiful! That colour is one of the best I think.

I’d say the benefit of the HSE is the 20 way seats. I find them beautifully comfortable and would be one of the upgrades I wish I could have afforded when I got mine. Also, the D300 is IMHO the best engine choice (I’ve not tried the newer non-V6 variant in my defence). The occasions I’ve driven in one has been sublime.

Warranty wise, shop around. I get what you mean I would want the safeguard of a dealers warranty but given how much JLR have scaled back on this in recent history a private one might be the way to go. Let us know what you end up doing and good luck!

Generally do the R dynamic HSE cars come with the same spec - eg, pan roof, 360 cam, Meriden etc.

Found an approved used car from LR, 2017 rather than 2018 and mileage is a few k higher. However it’s got the approved used 12m warranty etc and a bit cheaper.

Only thing missing are the 22” wheels which for me make the car. Any ideas how much a second hand set would cost me?

Also moved from a Macan, you will not be dissapointed, different car but still loving it. I found a new set of 22 inch wheels and tyres on ebay for 2k, great improvement, you might find used for less, good luck with your purchase.
