You need to clean the screens lol.

So this is the update that my dealer swear doesn’t exist.

^ head tech at my dealer told me the latest software update for the Velar would be available from the 24th. So he was pretty much right. Said they delayed it as was bricking some units. Which they have sorted.

New buttons to press 😀

Oh wow...that looks cool. Definitely a slightly different interface. Hopefully this is available in the USA?

New Software

Post by DangerMouseUK » Thu Jan 25, 2018 10:34 pm

It’s not as stable as I’d have first liked. Will do a more thorough post tomorrow.

It has definitely recognised the iPhone 100% of the time so far which is a step in the right direction.

Weird Up Next Not Available messages keep coming up whilst skipping tracks.

Also the song gets stuck on the screen whilst new songs come on and sometimes touch screen changing of media stops working.

Haven’t tried either online streaming service yet - will maybe try TuneIn as I don’t have a Deezer account.

Oh apparently this is Version 3 of something - not sure if that helps!

I was kind of hoping they'd put Amazon Music on there. I just know I'll end up having to subscribe to yet another service (e.g. Deezer)

I use Spotify mainly and I don't really use TuneIn as they always have really low quality versions of the radio streams I like.

Haven't prodded around enough to see if I can login to my TuneIn account where I have custom streams.

From the looks of things this uses the SIM slot data connection to load data and stream so that will finally load some sort of burden on that 3 UK one year sim we were all buying!

I’m pretty sure Spotify uses the data from the phone connection rather than the Installed Sim

Will be great to hear the latest differences in use of the new software.

Trying to get mine booked in for the update next week.
