I’m still running 2017C
Same here and seem to have no issues.
Mines full of bugs, but dealer doesn’t seem willing to install phase 4, whether that’s because of issues and they’re waiting for phase 5, I don’t know.

My dealer won't install Phase 4 as they have had serious problems installing it and have been advised to wait for Phase 5 before doing any upgrades.

I know some dealers are still able to install Phase 4 though.

There are similar reports on here of dealers not installing phase 3 & waiting for phase 4. I think it will be a long wait for a bug free release. If a software update leads to hardware being replaced (also reported here), I think the underlying issue is probably with that particular hardware item, rather than the software. Can’t Prove that of course.

For what it’s worth, mine has had two updates without issues, but I don’t think I’ll be an early adopter of over the air updates if and when JLR release one!

Just had my new Velar updated to phase 4 and the left side steering controls replaced. Much better - way more responsive when going through the menus now - not sure if it was the update, the hardware replacement, or the combination of them both. Also HUD seems more responsive.

The left steering wheel control is a known issue. The unit was replaced on my car and I can now navigate the menus successfully. The Phase 4 update is about the infotainment systems rather than the digital display/ control method. I was told there are around 80 control units, some can be updated some I guess are solid state.

10 days ago I had phase 4 loaded plus the left steering wheel control panel changed. I have to say all problems have gone away. It may be because i have a basic D240 S, but phase 4 has worked for me.

It also looks like I will be able to get updates OTA, but at the moment it is greyed out - not sure why

From experience in the aerospace industry, it strikes me that JLR may have firmware issues where some control units, at system level, are not compatible. It explains why on an earlier thread, someone said the JLR advice to a dealer was to change a unit and if it still did not work, change it again, and again! I could just be lucky and now have the combination of control units with compatible firmware.

Hey guys, I don't have a Velar but have a Vogue with the 18B infotainment software installed. I have a fault that cannot seem to be rectified and wondered if you guys have had the same problem. The problem is associated with 'online traffic routing' not working since the update. All the settings are in and all other live functions work. Plus frustratingly the cars presents all the traffic on route but never alters from the original route to redirect me around the traffic. At the moment, LR are telling me to wait for update 18C but I'm not convinced this will sort it unless it is a known software bug. Grateful for any input thoughts!

I just had my one update to phase 4 on Monday, which my dealer says it's the latest one they have.
