I'm buying a CPO First Edition, they're currently replacing the windshield on it.

Shall I spring for a Glass coverage on this vehicle?

Land Rover is currently investigating.
Any update on this my car is about to have windscreen no 3 , small stone thrown up from a passing car on the motorway hit low down and allegedly non repairable as it’s in the ‘ Black’ area at the base

Mine has a crack that appeared overnight 😳, nothing has hit it as far as I know!!, have had a good look and can’t find any sign of impact, thought it was a scratch at first but it’s getting bigger, so will be contacting dealers to see what they have to say?? Any advice on tackling dealer would be helpful
Thanks Craig

I had my heated windshield replaced by the JLR dealer once due to 4-lines being faulty. The dealer covered under my warranty.

I got a stone creating three long cracks on the windshield. Tomorrow I'll have it replaced from the insurance company, not sure if they'll use an original part or not. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Everything went well, they used an original part which seems to be even better, at first sight the heated windscreen "lines" are less present in the sight

Hi all, I have a chip which I noticed over the weekend, that's turned into a crack around 50mm long... When I called up, I hadn't measured it and they thought if under 40mm it would be repairable. Auto Windscreens are booked to come out on Wednesday.

Anyone got any recent experience of a replacement through insurance?
- Ideally I want a Land Rover screen rather than a non-OEM one, can I insist on this under insurance (car is still under warranty)
- Has anyone been able to arrange for Land Rover to do the whole job rather than the insurance company's repairer?
- The car has AEB, heated windscreen and head up display - so I think all of that needs to be calibrated afterwards - anyone know the latest on whether third party repairers can do that or is it a trip to Land Rover afterwards? If it's a trip to Land Rover I guess I should be able to claim the cost under insurance?!

Any guidance / help appreciated.

Many thanks

I have not had my windscreen replaced on my Velar but did have mine replaced on my F-Pace and Autoglass replaced it and recalibrated the AEB, etc. (no HUD) without any issues.
